Three ways agents use postcards
Just listed
Tell the neighbors before they see the sign. Neighbors often know someone who wants to live nearby, and every one of them is curious what their home is worth.
Just sold
Proof you get results in their neighborhood. Mail the routes around the sale while it's still news.
Farming
The same neighborhoods, every month. Staying in front of the same homes is how your name becomes the one they remember when it's time to sell.
Every home on the routes you farm
EDDM reaches every address on the carrier routes you choose, no list needed. That makes it a natural fit for farming a neighborhood or blanketing the routes around a new listing.
Pick routes with lots of homeowners, and decide whether you want high-turnover areas, where homes change hands often, or settled areas with long-time owners. The ZIP Code Explorer shows homeowners, recent movers and median home values by ZIP, and our EDDM targeting builder turns that into a route plan.
From 50¢ a postcard, printing and postage included. 2,500 minimum, 3 weeks to 1 month turnaround.
Past clients and your database
Your sphere of influence is spread all over town, so EDDM isn't the right tool. Send us your list and we'll mail a postcard to each person on it: market updates, home anniversaries, holiday cards, client events.
$1.10 a postcard, printing and postage included. Just 200 minimum and a 2 weeks turnaround.
Quote my sphere mailingWhat to put on a real estate postcard
- One clear message. "Just sold on Maple St." beats a card trying to say five things.
- A reason to act. A free home value estimate, a market report for their street, or an invitation to the open house.
- Your face and name, big. Farming works when people recognize you.
- An easy next step. A phone number, a short web address or a QR code that goes to a page about that offer.
- Your brokerage's required details. Check your brokerage and your state's real estate advertising rules for what every ad must include.
How much do real estate postcards cost?
EDDM postcards start at 50¢ each with printing and postage included (pricing varies by ZIP code, 2,500 minimum). Targeted mail to your own list is $1.10 each with a 200 minimum.
Should I farm with EDDM or targeted mail?
For a geographic farm, EDDM is usually simpler: every home on the routes gets your card and you don't need a list. Use targeted mail for your sphere, past clients and leads.
How often should I mail my farm?
Consistency matters more than any single card. Many agents mail the same farm monthly. Pick a schedule you can keep up for at least a year.
Do you work with agents outside my state?
Yes. PostcardDrop mails anywhere in the U.S.
